Diane’s painting “Triplets in White”, oil on canvas, 30″ x 40″.
When she submitted her art she supplied this statement: “The concept for my ‘Triplets’ paintings is based on that feeling I get when I ride my horse, take a walk up to the highest spot on our farm and am in awe of the view, or just enjoy a quite moment in a favorite place of solace. My ‘Triplets’ series is about the natural world’s power to help us each find ‘that feeling’”.
Diane shares her purposeful creative process with us and states, “My painting method starts with taking many photos of my subject, then sorting through them and choosing which ones to use in the composition. After completing a drawing, I transfer it to the canvas using graphite. Then comes the first layer of paint which is straight out of the tube in a very thin layer, working dark to light.”
Her many exhibitions include the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society’s Spring 2021 International On-line Exhibition, and shows presented at The State Museum of PA and Reading Public Museum, among others. She was also selected as a Finalist in the 14th International Art Renewal Center Salon.
Diane lives and works in a studio on her farm in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. She graduated magna cum laude from the Tyler School of Art of Temple University in Philadelphia with a BFA degree and received The Art Director’s Club of Philadelphia’s Gold Medal for her senior portfolio.
When you visit Diane’s website to view her work, you will find exquisite oil paintings from the “Triplets” series in addition to work from her “Fantasy” and “Humorous” series. In addition to her original paintings she accepts commission work and offers fine quality prints of originals in several different sizes.
