In creating this artwork “Realm of Wonderland” my hope is for each viewer to embrace their inner child and accept the invitation to pull back the curtain of experience and adulthood so they might once again see the extraordinary everywhere. Pure joy and delight awaits!

For me, light is the ultimatum form of Hope. The light is such an important aspect of life. To reach for the light is like reaching for the Divine.

I love the colors of roses — so many varieties and colors. In the painting of “Roses” I like using the black to surround the roses for contrast and definition. Using roses of different sizes creates interest. I would like the viewers to respond to the colors and be inspired by nature. What nature does by creating different shapes, colors and sizes is amazing. The more you are aware of the variations the more you will be amazed at how did nature make this happen. We truly live in an amazing world for us to see.

“Intuition” was inspired by Rothko’s use of color, I delved into a textural and predominantly monochromatic representation of the 6thChakra (AJNA) also known as our third eye chakra. Its aura color is Indigo and is our window to intuition and insight. Fusing the use of this color with the art of Kintsugi, I wanted to show imperfect life experiences are still a path to wisdom. We can improve our actions after gaining further insight and wisdom as we travel through Life.
