“My artwork portrays endangered species with emotion and depth in such a way that it allows the viewer to relate to the difficulty species I render live through on a daily basis and allows to magnify a sense of relation to one another and to possibly light a fire to do more to help the subjects they are viewing.”
Helena Cooper
John R. Math’s Light Space Time Art Gallery Award
“I found comfort in nature during a challenging time in my life. I started to photograph at gorges, lakes, and streams near where I live in the Finger Lakes. Through the camera lens, a decomposing leaf in a small puddle of water or a beam of light refracted in a stream transforms into a whole universe of new perspectives.”

Carolyn Edlund’s Artsy Shark Award
“Having always been captivated by the radiant qualities of nature, I create work rooted in soil that empowers transformation. My innovative encaustic sculpture propelling photograph into form embodies evolution, transcendence, and healing, beckoning the viewer to look beyond what is first seen. A metamorphosis ensues that bridges the artist and viewer through a shared lens of human experience.”

“The waters of Turneffe Island Atoll, off Belize, inform these fluid acrylic strappo monoprints. On a recent visit, I became entranced with the kaleidoscopic layers, textures and colors seen through the lens of crystal clear waters. Turneffe is a marine reserve and the largest coral atoll in the Belize Barrier Reef System, home to an astounding array of sea life.”

Thoroughly enjoyed the articles. The art featuring nature is truly inspiring. I am just now taken with a new look at creating a collage using Japanese papers. I feel the art will focus well on nature and portraits giving a painterly style to enhance love of nature. I am experimenting with this without a class or teacher. Maybe more people will support collage art to buy if they see the softened resemblance.

Scrolling through these amazing works of art – the diversity in style, color and medium; and then I see my name and I am absolutely humbled because all I keep thinking is how inspired I am by all these incredible artists. Renee, Thank you for selecting one of my paintings to include in your exhibit of “Bonding with Nature”. Painting is a solitary profession as you know, so being part of an exhibit of artwork by artists with similar inspirations and varied techniques on the same subject is very gratifying for me. It is such a beautiful exhibit that I have forwarded it to several people who need cheering at the moment and have been receiving thanks for an uplifting experience.

Renee, thank you so much for including my work in this stunning online exhibition. When I look at the wide variety of nature-inspired work gathered here, I’m filled with hope. With so many artists communicating a message of oneness with our natural world, how can viewers fail to be touched? I’m honored to be in the company of such dedicated and talented artists whose work comes from the same source and shares the same purpose as my own.
With much gratitude,
Sharmon

Teri Leigh Teed says
Renee, I feel that this is the best exhibition you have created to date. All of your exhibitions are superb; this one just has a really uplifting feel. That is what I like about your exhibitions, the way they raise energy. Thank you for attracting so many positive, life-affirming artists and their creations, and for giving us all an opportunity to meet each other and bring our gifts together to broadcast the spirits of peace, love and harmony. Exhibitions by some other businesses do not attract the same kind of energy. I chose to be uplifted and surrounded by art and artists who bring those uplifting energies!
Thank you so much Renee for selecting one of my photographs for this new exhibition. I am very pleased and feel honored to be part of this auspicious group of artists, to be part of a family of artists raising awareness for Mother Nature!
Thank you very, very much for all you do. I am even inspired to purchase some art from one of my fellow exhibitors. Blessings to you and to all our fellow artists.
Renee Phillips says
Teri, thank you for submitting your awe-inspiring photo to “Our Bond With Nature” and for understanding my desire as a curator to “raise energy”. I feel grateful that the exhibitions I curate attract the best artists. It’s a blessing but also a challenge because so many extraordinary artists cannot be included. It’s rewarding to have this platform to bring art by important yet unrecognized artists to a global audience and help them get exposure, possible sales, exhibition opportunities and more they deserve. With gratitude, Renee
